Radiation Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities: Radiation Therapist assist
cancer specialist by exposing the patients body to ionizing radiation. Technologists are responsible for maintaining
the radiation therapy equipment and helping to maintain patient records. Radiation
therapy is provided in hospitals, public health clinics, cancer treatment
centers, and private offices.
Salary:$22,000-$36,000
Education: While in high
school students should take them most challenging courses in English, Science
and math. To become a radiation therapist you must take a one to two year
program. One year programs are offered by hospitals. Two year programs require
a high school diploma or GED.
Review: This
is something that I am interested in radiation is interesting to me but for the
line of work the pay is to low and I would like to have a job that requires
more than just a high school diploma.
