Summary

Abraham Lincoln was once offered both whiskey and tobacco by one of his colonels, he stopped him right in the middle of his sentence, tell him a story. It went like this his mother was very ill when abe was only 9 years old, she knew she was not going to make it. So she made her son take a vow never to smoke tobacco or drink whiskey in his life. As years went by Lincoln kept his promise so he refused the colonels offer. The colonel admired Lincoln for this wishing he could do the same. Lincoln responded with " its a matter of integrity."
