"I will persist until I succeed"
Og Mandino
This statement is used a lot its somewhat like the statement never give up keep going. This is my goal in life to persist so that all of my dreams could come true. For example when I first was learning how to swim I didnt have an instructor I had to learn on my own. I couldnt float, I didnt kick right but it was something I had to do no matter how hard it was. Now it paid off I am one of the few people in my family that know how to swim.

Student Success Statement
"Nothing in the world can take the place of PERSISTENCE.

Talent  will not;nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not;unrewarded genius is almost a proverb
Education  will not; the world is full of educated derelicts
Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race"

President Calvin Coolidge
30th president of the United States

This statement is completely true you can be the most talented genuis person , and yea maybe you will succeed but if you have a person that perisists a lot more than you do trust me they will pass you. For example one of my cousins she isnt the brightest one of them all but she is very persistent still going for her Bachelors degeree and then you look at some of her friends that are smarter than her but they are not as far as she is. Being smart, talented, or educated can only take you so far.

I would not like to become a patient representative because I am not really good with handling complaints, it would probably be overwhelming.

"The answers to these questions will determine your success or failure:
1. Can people trust me to do whats right?yes
2. Am I committed to doing my very best?yes
3.Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?most of the time
If the answers to these questions are YES there is no way you can fail."
Lou Holtz
These three questions will determine your success for example as his position as a coach his players had to trust that he knew what was best for him. Then is he committed to do his very best to lead his team to victory and last but not least does he treat his team with respect that is his secret to winning all games to becoming successful.

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."
President John F. Kennedy

Being fit is what is needed to have a healthy mind and soul, it is the basis of all. For example if you are over weight or underweight you wont be healthy from anywhere because to do not being healthy physically you will start to fill your head with these thoughts and that then will poison your soul. You will become depressed you will think of nothing but that.

Student Success Statement
"No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her, it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction"
Charles Kendall Adams
American Historian

Doing what is required of you only takes you so far once you go beyond that there is so much more. For example when applying to a very prestigious college they are not going to take the average student that has B's because all he/she do is what they are asked to do. They will go for the student with all A's because they tried that much harder and I bet those students still did work outside of school volunteering, and played a sport, they did more than asked that is how you achieve excellence. If everyone followed the same system and just did what was required how would we know who were those who would aspire to something greater.
Optical Laboratory Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: Optical laboratory technicians create prescription lenses based on what is recommended by the ophthalmologists or optometrists. They use lens grinding machines to polish and smooth out the eyeglass lens. They then put the lenses into the eyeglass frames. Some optical laboratory technicians work with ophthalmologists or optometrists others work in department stores that sell prescription glasses
 Salary: $15,000 - $20,000
Education: You are required to have a high school diploma or GED. Then there is a 6 months to a year program offered by vocational schools or community colleges. Some of these retail stores offer on the job training.

I would not like to become an optical laboratory technician because it does not interest me.

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing"
Chick Moorman

I remember seeing somewhere that while running sprained her ankle she was to be the winner she was the fastest ahead of all. When she fell to the floor because of her ankle the woman close behind could have won but instead she did the honorable thing and helped her competitor cross the finish line. She did not win a medal but she did win the applause of a very great crowd for being so admirable.
Just last week I finished the Hunger Games series it was amazing. It took about a week and a half for me to finish reading all three books. Once I started reading I could not stop peeta was a perfect character, then Katniss and how they fell in love, I was very emotional once I finished reading the books I no longer knew what to do with my time. Everything was clear in the end which I am very happy about it the perfect ending to a perfect story. I truly fell in love with Peeta Mellark. This series has now become my #1 books my favorite books tied with that was then this is now by SE hinton. I think I will re read these three books started Wednesday when I finish reading the fault in our stars.
Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities: Ophthalmologist are physicians who specialize in eye care. They prescribe both pharmecuticals and eye glass lenses. When needed they can perform  eye surgery. Most ophthalmologist have a private practice, a very little amount are hired by hospitals and clinics.

Educational Requirements: Only physicians can study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship, ophthalmologist must complete a 3-5 year  residency in ophthalmology program. They then must pass an examination to become a certified ophthalmologist.

I would be interested in becoming an ophthalmologist because of the pay and the fact that it is probably easier for you to start your own business rather than getting hired.

" Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard then anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself."
Henry Ward Beecher

You have to put a higher standard for yourself do not let anyone do it for you, make it higher than anyone would ever think. Do not be what others expect of you achieve higher than even their wildest thoughts. If someone tells you that you are not going to amount to anything other than maybe making it to a cal state do not let that bring you down set a higher goal for yourself so that later you can tell them that you succeed their expectations.
    Ophlthalmic Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: Ophlthalmic technicians or technologists work with ophlthalmologists to collect data and analyze eye disease and problems to come up with the best treatments. They work in hospitals, clinics, or for private ophlthalmologists. Their work usually includes;

·        Perform simple eye exams
·        Assist in eye surgery
·        Explaining results and procedure to patients
Average Salary: $14,000 - $25,000
Education: Students are required to have a high school diploma or GED certificate with an additional two years of college before beginning their ophlthalmic training program. These programs usually last two years.

I would not be interested in becoming an ophlthalmic technician because I want to study the whole body not just focus on one organ such as the eyes. The line of interest I have is probably leaning more towards the respiratory system.

"Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get "
Mark Victor  Hansen

When you set your goals it is sort of a platform, you have to start somewhere and that slighest thought your goals is your starting point that is what you push off on. When you set a goal it is more likely you will get it because you are thinking of it therefore working on it, what ever you think in terms of good goals, if you try to make them happen they will become reality. So set your goals and you will get what you wanted.

I have not been drinking four bottles of water a day I have been out of my home a bit going to different places with my family and not ever taking water with my. I have dentist appointment in about a week Ill just have to wait and see what the dentist says, but I have been brushing my teeth three times a day rather than two. I will accomplish all of these goals in due time.
