    Ophlthalmic Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: Ophlthalmic technicians or technologists work with ophlthalmologists to collect data and analyze eye disease and problems to come up with the best treatments. They work in hospitals, clinics, or for private ophlthalmologists. Their work usually includes;

·        Perform simple eye exams
·        Assist in eye surgery
·        Explaining results and procedure to patients
Average Salary: $14,000 - $25,000
Education: Students are required to have a high school diploma or GED certificate with an additional two years of college before beginning their ophlthalmic training program. These programs usually last two years.

I would not be interested in becoming an ophlthalmic technician because I want to study the whole body not just focus on one organ such as the eyes. The line of interest I have is probably leaning more towards the respiratory system.
