Optical Laboratory Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: Optical laboratory technicians create prescription lenses based on what is recommended by the ophthalmologists or optometrists. They use lens grinding machines to polish and smooth out the eyeglass lens. They then put the lenses into the eyeglass frames. Some optical laboratory technicians work with ophthalmologists or optometrists others work in department stores that sell prescription glasses
 Salary: $15,000 - $20,000
Education: You are required to have a high school diploma or GED. Then there is a 6 months to a year program offered by vocational schools or community colleges. Some of these retail stores offer on the job training.

I would not like to become an optical laboratory technician because it does not interest me.
