Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: occupational therapist assist patients who are mentally, emotionally, and physically disabled . They help them get used to handi-caps and performing regular everyday things. They work with physicians, physical therapist, and counselors. Occupational therapist assistants keep up with the patients and report back to the occupational therapist their progress. Most occupational therapist work for hospitals some for nursing homes and others for handicapped schools.  They can also be hired in rehabilitation centers or adults day care center.

Salary:

$12,000 - $15,000 (Occupational Therapy Aides) 

$17,000 - $26,000 (Occupational Therapy Assistants)

Education:

Occupational therapist aides are required to have a high school diploma or GED training will be given to them on the job. Occupational therapist assistants must take a two year training program that includes clinical experience. They must also pass a national examination to qualify.

I would be interested in  this career, helping people back on their feet seems like a great thing to do.

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: Nursing home administrators take charge of nursing homes and long term care facilities. They are the supervisors for personnel, financial, medical, and nursing administration. Their places of work are usually nursing homes sometimes large corporations that control several facilities . Some of the nursing home administrators are involved in teaching and research. 

Average Salary: $40,000-$55,000 

Educational Requirements: In high school students should take the most advanced classes in business, science, math, and English that their school offers. Requirements differ but the most common seen are a Bachelors degree, an internship program, and a passing grade on a comprehensive exam.

I would not like to become a nursing home administrator because it is not really a line of work that interests me. I want a career that has to do more with medicine, rather than just organizing.

There are many students who believe that they are to cool for school, but being in school  is cool you get to show that you actually work hard, that you are going to go somewhere in your life that you have direction. In order to achieve being cool you need to go to school and while in school you need to follow every rule. The lazy students are not cool, those who choose the wrong are not cool. They are those who will work in a fast food restaurant which has never been cool, but you can choose to follow every rule become a doctor now that is cool. 

School Wide Assembly

Last Friday all of the great HPIAM teachers put on a show for us student acting as us. They would have examples of every kind of student  specifically those who care and those who seem to not  care. Some of the skits had to do with not wearing uniform, those who do not keep organized, and those who just really don’t feel as if they will amount to anything. Then there were the good students who always came prepared, showed up on time, wore uniform and were rarely absent. The teachers acting skills were spot on it was an entertaining, it really captivated the students. This is why I will now choose to remember things more and stop procrastinating. It will just make going to school easier.

This statement is 100% correct action is what will lead you to your success. Yes you may think of an idea here and there, such as I want to become what are a couple of words if you dont act out on them. You can say you want to be a doctor but if you just sit and wait for it , youre going to have a rude awakening, you need to be driven you need to act. Now if you to school and do great if you act you will become what you want to become you will succeed. 

I have not fully completed any of the goals, but i have been working on some of them such as getting straight A's through out all of high school and being more active. Lately I have been staying active with my sister in law doing some type of exercise everyday. Sometimes its running,other times dancing, and during pe I also keep active. Another goal that I am working on at the moment is getting straight A's so far it is going well. I will continue to work hard and study hard. One  goal that I have been having trouble completing is not procrastinating, I just got sick this week so I havent really had the chance to finish my homework early since Ive been resting even more. I am also planning to begin one of my first goals which is to take college courses while in high school during our next vacation. I plan on taking maybe 6 classes at most, and 3 at the least. Even though there are many obstacles I will  accomplish my goals.

Pyramid Healing

Define Pyramid Healing: A way in which you can achieve deep meditative states, and heal yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally. This is when a person stands, sits, or lays within a wire, or wood, shaped as a pyramid.

Aspects of Pyramid healing:

I would actually be very interested in trying pyramid healing. It seems relaxing and I would like to try it more because of curiosity to know whether it would work or not.

Every person on this planet will go through a challenge in their life or have already been through one or several, these obstacles will either make you stronger or make you crumble to the ground it just depends on the type of person you are. It is you choice why would you ever want to break when you can succeed. Such as any athlete they have records set before them that they can break , even though they have a lot of competitors, they can either give up under pressure or strive to break-records. Another example are those who are homeless they have really horrible obstacles to come through, like Will Smith in The pursuit of happiness, he could have broken so easily no wife, no home and a child to care for. He never gave up he broke records in the law firm he started working in. 

Health Information Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Health information Specialist record data such as medical, workload, finance, and insurance for practitioners to use to find the best health care plans for patients. There are three branches to this line of work certified coding specialist, registered record administrators, and accredited record technicians. Registered Record Administrators are the highest of the three, the supervisor. Record Technicians make sure that all information is recorded properly. Then there are coding specialists they post and assign the correct info and then send it to various insurance companies. Health information specialist work in hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, physicians’ offices, and many other medical settings.

Average Salary: $20,000-$25,000 (coding specialist)

$23,000-$30,000 (record technician)

$30,000- $40,000(record administrators)

Education: In high school students should take most classes in Math, English, Information management, business and science. Coding specialist must have a GED, training is usually given in the line of work, must pass an examination. Record technicians must have an associate’s degree, must pass credentialing examination. Record administrators must have a bachelor’s degree and they also have to pass an examination.

I would not like to have this career because it has to do a lot with computers which doesn’t interest me and I am not the most organized with information.
