Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities: ENT surgeons are
responsible for surgical and medical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat,
as well as the related head and neck areas. They treat hearing disorders,
infections, balance disorders, nerve pain, ear noise, and cranial nerve
disorders, patients suffering from chronic sinusitis, diseases of the larynx,
esophagus, and upper aero-digestive tract, including swallowing and voice
disorders, with tumors, infectious
diseases, deformities, and facial trauma.

Education: Five years of training in and a surgical
residency is required with a one-year course in general surgery and a four-year
course in otolaryngology. Most get accepted with a Bachelor of Science degree
or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Reflection: I would be interested in applying for this job
in the future, since my career path is surgery which can branch off to any area
in the body. The nose throat and ears are very important which would make the
surgery difficult and what im looking for is a challenge. I also really like
the salary.
